By the grace of the Timeless Being, by the grace of Guru Nanak and favour of Gobind Singh, also by command of the Valiant Emperor, Ranjit Singh, this newly ready-made cannon was set up, named “Foe Striker-Resistance Watcher” in the Royal arsenal of Commander Tej Singh in Lahore, within the factory of Subh Singh, during the year 1890 [AD 1833]

Note:

Here is a traditional Inscription which starts with a blessing to God, Guru Nanak, Guru Gobind and ending with reverence to Maharajah Ranjit Singh.
