Translation

By the grace of Timeless Being of Guru Nanak, and by the favour of Guru Gobind Singh, following the orders of the Royal Prince Kanwar Nau Nihal Singh, this newly ready-made, Shah pleasing, war winner gun, was set up and armed in the gun factory of General Tej Singh and given the name “Candar Mukhi” [‘As Beautiful As the Moon’] in the year 1897 [AD 1840]

Note:

As evidenced by this gun’s name Kanwar Nau Nihal Singh seems to have had a imaginative and poetic flare for naming cannons.
